Upcycled Silver Pitcher

Don't feel like polishing that silver pitcher anymore? No problem, just upcycle it!

I've never really liked carnations, I guess it's because they were always the cheap option, but my oldest gave me these delicate little pink beauty's for Mother's Day (Trader Joe's labels them Dianthus) and I saw them in a whole new light.
Unfortunately, I had recently done a "cabinet cleanse" in my kitchen and found that I had no appropriate container to house them. As I was rummaging through my cupboards trying to find something better than a Coca-Cola glass I ran across a silverplated pitcher that I had inherited from my mother-in-law who had passed away 2 years prior. It was a perfect match! The flowers looked radiant and the tarnished pitcher found new life.
No need to polish that tarnished pitcher, upcycle it!
After a little research I discovered that it wasn't just any old pitcher, it was a vintage Rogers & Bro pitcher made between 1874 and 1898. I think I will be holding on to this for a long time. If money is no object you can get this look with Wayfair.com.
